Happy Wednesday!
Election season is noisy. It’s easy to be swept up in the fear of it all, as if next week’s outcome will totally change your life’s trajectory. But remember that above Capitol Hill sits another throne room, filled with the glory of a King who rules with total sovereignty, without term limits, and without challengers.
That’s your King. And He’s got you.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Any concept of grace that makes us feel more comfortable sinning is not biblical grace. God’s grace never encourages us to live in sin; on the contrary, it empowers us to say no to sin and yes to truth.”

Move over, SpaceX; there’s a new IPO in town.
AI giant Anthropic filed its IPO paperwork Monday, beginning its march toward the public market under the ticker “ANT.” The 400-page filing revealed that the Claude-maker hauled in $16.3B in revenue during the first half of 2026, up ~1,300% from a year ago, but remains unprofitable.
Anthropic reportedly anticipates raising $100B at a ~$2T valuation when it debuts in mid-November. If successful, it would rival the record SpaceX set earlier this year of $75B at a $1.77T valuation and become one of the most valuable companies in the world.
The filing details a high-risk, high-reward opportunity. It pegs its potential market at more than $40 trillion, but spends 94 pages discussing risk factors, including that AI could “destabilize the geopolitical order.”

Verse to consider when the world’s big offerings start to distract from the promises of God… “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s possessions—is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.”

WORLD NEWS
Brazilian Ballots
Brazil’s incumbent president pulled off an election upset Sunday.
After trailing by 2.2M in first-round voting earlier this month, left-wing Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva defeated right-wing senator Flávio Bolsonaro 51.8% to 48.2% in the runoff. A massive social media campaign and higher-than-expected voter turnout are credited with helping the 81-year-old secure an unprecedented fourth term (learn more about the ups and downs of Lula’s political career).
Flávio’s father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, lost his own reelection to Lula in 2022 and was sentenced to 27 years in prison for attempting a coup. Flávio’s party conceded for him after he initially refused to accept the results; he then reportedly fled to Florida, defying a court order to surrender his passports.
Brazil’s main stock index was shaken by Lula’s surprise victory, plunging 14% Monday as a bubble built on Bolsonaro’s investor-friendly campaign promises popped.
ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE
Just as many Americans view the outcomes of foreign elections with a certain level of detachment, Christians view earthly political outcomes as secondary to the campaign of our eternal home, where we hold our truest citizenship.
“From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective.… in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us.”

Unlocking A Healthy Aging Secret
We age because our cells do. But dolphins may have helped crack the code to slow cellular aging down.
While caring for aging Navy dolphins in San Diego Bay, researchers noticed the healthiest ones had high levels of C15:0, an emerging essential fatty acid that strengthens cell membranes against age-related breakdown.
A decade of research shows it’s true for humans, too, and Fatty15 is pure, patented C15:0 just for us non-dolphins.
One daily capsule = 36+ cellular benefits supporting metabolic, cognitive, and liver health. Within 16 weeks, 70% of customers saw better sleep, mood, and energy, and 7,000+ 5-star reviews agree.

Trade Talks
The NBA added two prediction markets to its roster on Monday.
The Association named Kalshi and Polymarket its “preferred prediction market exchanges.” Both sides bring baggage into the locker room: the trading sites are battling states in court over whether prediction markets are just sports betting in different uniforms, and the NBA’s still dealing with recent gambling scandals.
Still, an NBA exec said the partnership better protects “the integrity of our games.” Under the deal:
- NBA players and staff cannot trade on games,
- the league can limit offered markets (e.g., opening tips, specific missed shots),
- the sites must report suspicious trades,
- and the NBA will share logos and data.
Meanwhile, on the court, the sophomore-season Golden State Valkyries are one win away from a WNBA championship after beating the Atlanta Dream on Monday.
PRAY WITH US
Giver of Every Good Gift, as new ways to spend, risk, and win become available, teach us to follow what is good, not merely what is allowed. Create a craving in us for the long road of a generous life over the thrill of chasing quick wins. Free every person caught in tightening chains of debt and addiction. Remind us of the riches we have in Your love. And encourage us with the certainty of Your cosmic victory. Amen.
IN OTHER BREWS…
Former FBI Director James Comey faces federal charges for a third time. Monday, a judge unsealed two charges accusing Comey of disclosing national defense information to the New York Times in 2016, the year he led a Russian election interference investigation. Comey, whose lying-to-Congress case was dismissed (refresh on the three cases here), called it an “appalling abuse” and moved to dismiss the charges.
Microsoft’s holding the door open for ~60,000 employees. Monday, the tech giant offered voluntary buyouts to 27% of its workforce to manage costs amid growing AI investments. The severance-style package is available to eligible employees at level 70 or below (internal job ranking, not Candy Crush), but they must accept by early December and make their exit by year’s end (read the memo).
Robots logged a win against cancer Sunday. In the first U.S. telesurgery between two hospitals, Florida surgeon Vipul Patel removed the cancerous prostate of a 66-year-old patient 35 miles away. (Watch Dr. Patel’s first remote surgery last summer on a patient ~7,000 miles away.) The successful procedure marks a milestone in an FDA-authorized study testing whether remotely performed surgery could help “reduce geographic barriers to specialized treatment.”
Dollar General’s getting a price check. The FTC and 20 states are suing the bargain chain (see if your state’s a plaintiff), alleging it repeatedly charged customers more at the register than shelf prices despite tens of thousands of complaints, adding millions to its primarily low- and fixed-income shoppers’ totals. Dollar General vowed to fight, saying it aims for “100% accuracy” but acknowledged “occasional price discrepancies.”

The Rays took a late-night swim away from a sweep. After Milwaukee brewed a go-ahead homer in the top of the 12th (yes, 12 innings!), Tampa Bay got four straight hits to notch their first win of this Fall Classic, 4-3 (watch the walk-off). Both teams are battling for their franchise’s first World Series title; Game 5 is tonight in St. Petersburg.

How We’re Rediscovering Our Self-Worth
Five minutes at a time, with Tim Tebow’s devotional*
How do you spend the first five minutes of your day? Scrolling? Worrying about your to-dos? What if you spent that time differently? Five minutes could change everything.
Scrolling places worth in life’s aesthetics. Worrying places worth in tasks and accomplishments. On your own, you strive and seek and are left unfulfilled.
But if you look again, you can find the truth that God has been trying to reveal all along: He gave you infinite, unchangeable worth the moment He created you. The 40 Days to Look Again devotional helps you live anchored to what God says about your worth.
What Someone Needs to Hear Today
This devo’s message: you can’t earn your worth*
One of the sneakiest lies we believe is that we have to earn our worth. It creeps in when we’re worried about getting that promotion or feeling discouraged about our non-Instagramable daily life.
This devotional by Tim Tebow demolishes the lies.
40 Days to Look Again’s five-minute daily readings remind you that God settled the matter of your worth the moment He created you, and nothing can diminish or take that away.
Maybe you need this message, or maybe someone else comes to mind. Grab two copies of 40 Days to Look Again today, and share the encouragement of God’s love.
