Wanted: Readers Who Notice Things

Hi there!

The Pour Over’s mission is to be a trustworthy news resource guiding people toward eternal hope. One way we feel we can do that better is by inviting a wider range of viewpoints to review our stories.

So, we formed a small Editorial Advisory Board, a behind-the-scenes group of readers who review our draft stories and help us catch blind spots before they go out to over a million inboxes.

Now, we’re expanding the team. Would you be interested in joining?

We've internally dubbed this team our Taste Testers (sticking with our coffee theme), and we want to include people representing a range of generational, racial, economic, denominational, geographical, political, and professional viewpoints.

What Taste Testers do:

Stay up to date on current events
Vote on which stories TPO covers
Review draft stories to flag things like: assumptions we might be making wording that could land oddly in different contexts places where a little more explanation might help
Get surprise gifts from TPO

What Taste Testers don’t do:

Get paid
Write content
Push opinions
Debate politics
Get paid (just making sure you hear that)
