The Brewers are heading to their first World Series since 1982.

A year after the LA Dodgers swept them in the NLCS, Milwaukee brewed some revenge and swept ’em back (check out the spookily similar stats). The back-to-back champs fell despite a higher payroll ($339M) than the other three LCS teams combined ($316M).

Gridiron goliaths also fell: for the first time ever, five of college football’s top eight put a tally in the loss column Saturday. Auburn toppled #1 Georgia on a last-second field goal (watch the final minute), #8 BYU outfought #2 Notre Dame, #4 Ohio State ended #5 Indiana’s 22-game win streak, and #6 Alabama and #7 Texas lost again.

On the hardwood, the Valkyries took WNBA Finals Game 1 from the Dream in San Francisco Ballhalla.

Verse to consider whether you’re celebrating a win, mourning a loss, or still in the middle of the battle… “I know how to make do with little, and I know how to make do with a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.”
