Midterm Rulings
A record 53M+ Americans have already voted in tomorrow’s race to control Congress.
An election operation dubbed “Decoy Dan” has drawn a “surge of law enforcement assets” to Alaska to investigate allegations that Democrats tried to peel votes from incumbent Senator Dan Sullivan (R) by fielding a candidate with the same name. On Sunday, a federal judge dismissed the DOJ’s lawsuit demanding to delay Alaska’s election certification because of Dan2 confusion, saying Washington has no standing in Anchorage.
The second Dan Sullivan says he never discussed his candidacy with Democratic candidate Peltola’s campaign.
Meanwhile, a federal judge ordered the DOJ to stop threatening California election officials with criminal charges for processing ballots that the Trump administration says “likely” belong to non-citizens, saying the threat of prosecution was “interfering with election administration and disenfranchising lawful voters.”
RADIATE HOPE
Election anxiety will peak in our communities in the next several days. Believers have a hope to keep us grounded and an anchor to offer to those who feel tossed by political storms: Our King is unchallenged on His eternal throne, and He knows our needs.
“This is my Father's world: Why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King: let the heavens ring! God reigns; let the earth be glad!”
This Is My Father’s World, a hymn by Maltbie Babcock (1901)

The FBI says North Korean hackers are behind the biggest crypto heist in history.
On Thursday, crypto exchange Binance reported roughly $6.3B in cryptocurrencies had been stolen in a “complex hack” that lasted less than 20 minutes, causing the company to freeze another $3B in assets, pause all withdrawals, and launch an investigation.
After working with the FBI’s cybersecurity team, authorities attributed the “malicious cyber activity” to a North Korea-linked entity known as TraderTraitor, which reportedly stole $1.5B from another exchange in February 2025. The bureau says TraderTraitor has been laundering the captured coins by converting them into Ethereum (the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency), and has asked other crypto exchanges to block transactions linked to suspicious addresses.
By Saturday, Binance said ~90% of its assets had been “replenished” without affecting user funds, and by Sunday, withdrawals resumed.
Verse to consider whether your crypto wallet, your investment portfolio, or your trusty trifold are making you feel on edge… “I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken.”

SPORTS
🎵 We Are the Champions 🎵
The Golden State Valkyries are queens of the WNBA.
The Valks beat the Dream 68-63 in the first-ever Game 7 of the WNBA Finals on Saturday. Hoisting the trophy in just their second season in the league, Golden State became the fastest expansion franchise to win a title among the major North American sports leagues since 1967. Finals MVP Gabby Williams exploded for a WNBA playoff-record 28 points in the second half (watch the Chase Center Ballhalla go bananas).
On the gridiron, a top-two team fell to an unranked opponent for the fourth straight week. USC beat #2 Ohio State 30-18 in Los Angeles, quieting talk about Trojan general Lincoln Riley’s job security.
Meanwhile, the NFL will officially have no perfect teams this season as the last remaining unbeaten Minnesota Vikings failed to tame the Detroit Lions yesterday.
CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE
Sports can be a field where spiritual fruit grows. Through sports, we experience the thrill of victory, resilience from defeat, the beauty of teamwork, and the delight of play. As you watch, cheer, and discuss sports, keep an eternal perspective by focusing on growing Christlike character, not just the scoreboard.
“And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Romans 5:3-5 (CSB) (read full passage)
IN OTHER BREWS…
Eight people died, and dozens were injured across seven mass shootings over the weekend. On Friday, a 31-year-old pregnant woman was killed at a Spirit Halloween in California (the shooter is still at large), and a 21-year-old man was killed at a Spirit Halloween in Michigan. Saturday, six people were killed in shootings across Dallas, TX; Fayetteville, AR; Birmingham, AL; Newark, DE; and Bloomington, IL.
The mittens are comin’ off in Michigan’s Senate race. Representative Haley Stevens (D-MI) endorsed Republican candidate Mike Rogers yesterday amid an ongoing feud between Stevens and Rogers’s opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, who defeated the congresswoman in the Michigan primaries. Stevens’s political pivot—made because she was “not welcome” in El-Sayed’s campaign—was met with backlash from her party, who called it a “betrayal.”
Israel’s intelligence agency announced a probe into suspected foreign-funded vote buying in last week’s parliamentary elections, which didn’t have a clear winner. PM Benjamin Netanyahu—who serves as “caretaker prime minister” until a new government is formed—alleges that Arab-majority parties, which won a record 19 of 120 parliamentary seats, “stole” the election. Election officials say the allegations have “no basis.”
The State Department approved the $2.1B sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 missiles to Ukraine on Friday. The month-long delay of American-made defensive weapons has caused tension between Kyiv and Washington as Ukraine’s stockpiles diminish and Russian strikes intensify (watch PAC-3s intercept incoming fire at 4,000 mph). The yet-to-be-manufactured missiles, paid for by Canada and Ukraine’s European allies, aren’t expected to be delivered for 5+ years.
History was afoot at this year’s NYC Marathon. Sweden’s Andreas Almgren ran his first marathon Sunday… and won in 2:06:01. (He’s also the reigning half-marathon world champion. NBD.) Kenya’s Sheila Chepkirui snagged her second first-place finish in 2:24:36 (watch her break the tape). And Switzerland dominated the wheelchair races, with Marcel Hug winning his eighth title and Catherine Debrunner winning her second.

How We’re Preparing for Wednesday
With The After Party course*
Election Day is tomorrow, but the polls won’t settle this question: Who are we becoming?
When politics gets loud, humility gets harder, and so does loving the people we disagree with. That’s why The After Party created this free, six-session course for individuals and groups.
It won’t tell you how to vote. Instead, it helps Christians think about the how of politics: How do we engage without losing our hope, humility, or each other? How do we better reflect Jesus? It’s like TPO’s principles as a class…
The election noise will fade; your neighbors will remain. Start your free course today!
