Friday puzzle
The Four Over
Built from this week’s stories: July 31 - August 5, 2026
Find the four groups of four. Tap four tiles that have something in common, then press Submit.
How to play
- All sixteen tiles belong to exactly one group of four. Every puzzle has one solution.
- You get four mistakes. A wrong guess uses one, and the dots below the board show what’s left.
- “One away” means three of the four you picked do belong together.
- A solved group locks to the top of the board. The lighter its colour, the easier it was meant to be, so the darkest group is the trickiest.
- Shuffle rearranges the tiles, which often helps you see a group. Deselect all clears your picks.
- Solve it and you can post your result to the leaderboard. Fewest mistakes wins, and time only settles ties.
