Colombia is shaken, bowled over, broken up, buried;and we are crushed.

Just hours ago, homes were in order;pantries were full;workers were on the job;children were playing;all was quiet and at rest.But now, only grief and rubble.

Immovable God, set our feet on solid ground,and set our eyes on your unshakeable kingdom.

Relentless Shepherd,as first responders go boldly into danger,grant them endurance, skill, and success.Direct their steps so theyfind and bring home those who are lost.Bind the wounds of those who have been shakenin body and spirit;comfort those who mourn lost loved ones.Feed those who are suddenly lackingfood, work, and communityso that they want for nothing.Strengthen weary handsfor the long work of rebuilding.

May day-at-a-time progress be for believersa picture of lifelong discipleship;may their good works be for the losta compass pointing to you;and may community renewal be for the worlda harbinger of your coming kingdom.
