QUOTE OF THE DAY
“The great thing to remember is that though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not.”

A Meeting of Opposites
President Trump and NYC Mayor-elect Mamdani are shakin’ hands in the Oval Office today.
The pair will discuss key points of Mamdani’s campaign platform: public safety and affordability. Mamdani, who requested the meeting, said he wants to “speak plainly” about New Yorkers who “are struggling to afford this city.” Trump said he wants “to see everything work out well” for the Empire City.
TBD if today’s sit-down will be cordial or contentious… Trump and Mamdani have been trading jabs for months. Mamdani’s criticized Trump’s immigration policies and threats to cut New York’s federal funding, while Trump’s called Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, a “communist” and said he’ll have the future mayor arrested if he inhibits immigration enforcement in NYC.
Meanwhile, ICE announced it’s ramping up operations in the Big Apple as part of its larger crackdown on sanctuary cities.

ABOVE ALL, LOVE
The good news of the gospel is that God loved us while we were His enemies. His love compels us to love our enemies—political or otherwise—so that the world may see His love through us.
“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

TECH
Off The Charts
AI bubble fears have been popped… for now.
Nvidia dropped an expectation-crushing earnings report Wednesday:
-
$57B in Q3 revenue (vs. ~$55B expected)
-
$51B from data center sales alone (topping ~$49B estimates)
-
$65B projected for Q4 revenue (above previous ~$62B forecasts)
CEO Jensen Huang said sales of the company’s next-gen Blackwell chips are “off the charts” and that some cloud GPUs are “sold out.” Investors liked what they heard—Nvidia shares jumped ~5% in after-hours trading. All this comes even as big names have started placing bets against AI. Silicon Valley investor Peter Thiel’s hedge fund recently dumped its entire Nvidia stake, intensifying bubble concerns. And Michael Burry—the Big Short guy—bought “put options” on Nvidia, betting the stock price will drop.
Meanwhile, September’s shutdown-delayed jobs report finally dropped, showing the U.S. added 119,000 jobs, much higher than expected.

CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE
Massive wealth gains could be here today and gone tomorrow. Don’t let economic news determine your mood, win your heart’s affection, or steal your Kingdom focus.
“No one can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

The Man, The Myth
This Christmas, go beyond the holly-jolly, white-bearded, reindeer-taming legend of Santa Claus and help little ones discover the true story of St. Nicholas.
After losing both parents at a young age, Nicholas used his inheritance to help those in need. A leader in the early church, he was imprisoned under Roman Emperor Diocletian for refusing to deny Christ—but that didn’t stop him.
We won’t spoil anything else because…
You can claim a complimentary copy of Nicholas: God’s Courageous Gift-Giver or get the whole Courageous Series boxed set with any gift to VOM. Join us in inspiring kiddos with the real story of St. Nicholas, who paid a price for his bold witness.

POLITICS
House of (Mis)Representatives
Two U.S. Representatives’ seats are heating up over separate corruption allegations.
On Tuesday, the House passed a resolution rebuking Representative Jesús “Chuy” García (D-IL) for allegedly “undermining the process of a fair and free election” with his controversially timed retirement. García filed for reelection last month but exited the race less than two weeks later. His chief of staff—now the only Democrat on the primary ballot—filed to run hours before the deadline.
Democrats were split over the issue: Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) introduced the resolution, while dissenting Dems called García an “icon.”
On Wednesday, Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) was indicted by the Justice Department for allegedly laundering $5M in FEMA funds to support her 2021 congressional campaign. Cherfilus-McCormick, who faces up to 53 years in prison if convicted, called the indictment “an unjust, baseless, sham.”

Verse to consider whether it’s the shortcomings of others or our own that come to light… “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God presented him as the mercy seat by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed. God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.”

IN OTHER BREWS…
A major procedural misstep is rattling James Comey’s prosecution. The Justice Department admitted the full grand jury never saw the final indictment—only two grand jurors did—adding to mounting challenges in the prosecution of the former FBI director for allegedly lying to Congress and obstructing the Russia-probe investigation. A judge called the errors “profound” but hasn’t said whether they’re fatal to the case.
Miss Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2025 last night, but drama took center stage during this year’s pageant. Last week, participants walked out of a prep meeting when Miss Mexico was yelled at; Miss Jamaica is recovering after falling off the stage during prelims; and three judges bowed out amid allegations of a rigged final round and a judge-contestant affair.
President Trump signed the Epstein Transparency Act into law on Wednesday night, giving the Department of Justice 30 days to release all unclassified Epstein-related records, including information about the investigation into his death in prison. When announcing his signature, Trump claimed the issue was something Democrats used “to try and distract from our AMAZING Victories.”
A wall somewhere just got a very expensive upgrade. Gustav Klimt’s Portrait of Elisabeth Lederer sold for a whopping $236.4M after a 20-minute bidding sprint at Sotheby’s fine art auction (see the hands fly), setting a modern-art record and becoming one of the priciest paintings ever auctioned. The 1914-1916 piece had survived Nazi looting and wartime fire before its blockbuster sale.
Mourners gathered at the National Cathedral for Dick Cheney’s funeral yesterday. The invite-only service was attended by all five living former VPs, former President Biden, and former President Bush, who, in his eulogy, said Cheney was “a gentleman.” Not on the guest list: President Trump and VP Vance. Cheney and his daughter, former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), publicly criticized Trump after January 6, 2021.
